What is Y-AMT?

That means no clutch, no foot-operated gear lever. Instead, Yamaha has equipped the Y-AMT with a tactile see-saw switch on the left handlebar, allowing seamless up and down gear changes with a tap of your finger or thumb.
In Manual Mode, gear shifts are sportier, quicker, and more consistent than even the best quickshifters. In Automatic Mode, riders can choose between two modes:
- D+ (Dynamic Plus) for aggressive, high-rev shifts, perfect for sporty riding.
- D (Drive) for a smoother, more relaxed urban or touring ride.
