Whitney Motorsport Racing Takes Positives from Challenging Oulton Park Weekend

Whitney Motorsport Racing enjoyed a weekend of determination, resilience and encouraging performances during Round 6 of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, with the team competing in both the Pirelli National Superstock Championship and the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship.

Saturday’s action saw South African Blaze Baker continue his impressive form in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship. Starting from 13th on the grid aboard his Honda, Baker delivered another composed and determined performance, fighting his way through the field to secure a solid 10th-place finish and another valuable top-10 result.

Teammate Max Lofthouse endured a frustrating opening race after a technical issue forced him to retire early. Despite the team’s efforts to resolve the problem, the British rider was unable to continue, bringing his race to a premature end.

In the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship, South African Aaron Robinson qualified 28th aboard the team’s Triumph after showing encouraging pace throughout the weekend’s practice and qualifying sessions, setting his sights on moving forward in Sunday’s race.

Sunday’s National Superstock race proved to be another positive outing for Whitney Motorsport Racing.

Baker produced a superb ride, charging through the field once again to claim an impressive ninth-place finish. The South African displayed excellent pace, consistency and racecraft throughout the encounter, rounding off another strong weekend with back-to-back top-10 finishes.

Lofthouse also bounced back in style after Saturday’s disappointment. Following his early retirement in Race 1, the British rider produced a determined charge through the field to finish in 16th position. It was a spirited recovery that demonstrated both his resilience and growing confidence as he continues to build momentum.

The weekend was less rewarding for Robinson in the British Sportbike Championship. A number of technical and mechanical issues unfortunately brought his race to an early end, preventing the South African from reaching the chequered flag.

Despite the setback, Robinson showed encouraging pace throughout the weekend and continued to make steady improvements. His performances highlighted the potential to challenge for valuable points-paying positions once reliability issues are resolved.

While the Oulton Park weekend presented its share of challenges, Whitney Motorsport Racing leaves Round 6 with plenty of positives. Baker’s back-to-back top-10 finishes, Lofthouse’s determined recovery in Race 2 and Robinson’s encouraging pace provide the team with confidence as preparations begin for the next round of the 2026 British Superbike Championship.
