Suzuki Training Day – Building Confidence, Skill, and Community

We had the privilege of once again attending one of Suzuki South Africa’s much-loved training days – and what a day it turned out to be. These events have a clear and essential purpose: to improve rider safety, boost confidence on the bike, and help motorcyclists become more aware of their surroundings, all within a safe and controlled environment.
This latest edition was another resounding success, drawing well over a hundred motorcycles and enthusiastic riders. The variety of bikes on track was a sight to behold – from smaller-capacity machines like the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and KTM 390s, to cruisers, adventure bikes, superbikes, and just about everything in between. It was a true celebration of motorcycling in all its forms.

Off the track, the paddock was alive with energy. Suzuki’s latest models were proudly on display, giving riders and fans a chance to see and experience the brand’s freshest offerings. Conversations flowed easily among like-minded enthusiasts, with test rides and plenty of two-wheeled eye candy adding to the atmosphere.

The heart of the day, however, was the training itself. Under the guidance of skilled instructors, riders worked through exercises and real-world riding scenarios designed to sharpen their skills and awareness. We were proud to be part of the instructor team, riding our long-term Suzuki GSX-S 1000 GX. The GX didn’t miss a beat – this being its second track day with us – and once again it proved itself to be the perfect tool for the job thanks to its blend of comfort, cutting-edge technology, and raw performance.

More than just a training session, these Suzuki days create a sense of community – a place where riders of all ages and experience levels can grow, share, and enjoy the passion of motorcycling together.
Keep an eye on our pages – and the official Suzuki Motorcycles South Africa channels – for details on the next training day. If you’re serious about riding, this is an experience you won’t want to miss.
A big thank you goes to Marko Swart for capturing the spirit of the day in his stunning images.
