OHVALE GP-5: A NEW LEVEL OF TRACK PERFORMANCE

Ohvale has expanded its racing range with the new GP-5, a compact, high-performance motorcycle designed to deliver the performance and riding sensations of a full-size race bike while remaining accessible to riders of different ages and experience levels.

Developed for training, rider development and pure track enjoyment, the GP-5 is designed to work across a wide range of circuits, from karting tracks to full-size race circuits. Its combination of compact dimensions, racing-focused chassis and versatile ergonomics makes it equally suited to young riders developing their skills and experienced adults looking for an exciting track machine.

Power comes from a choice of two 250cc single-cylinder engines. The “Powered by Honda” version uses the Honda CRF250R-derived engine already featured in the Ohvale GP-7, producing a package focused on performance, reliability and technology. It features a 249.4cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine, DOHC, four valves, electronic fuel injection and a five-speed gearbox.

The alternative ZS RR250 uses a 249.8cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine with four valves and DOHC, featuring a dedicated Ohvale setup designed to deliver strong but accessible performance and precise throttle response.

Both versions feature Dell’Orto electronics, with Racing and Restricted ECU options.

The GP-5’s aluminium perimeter frame is paired with an Ohvale-developed aluminium swingarm and 15-inch aluminium wheels, creating a lightweight chassis focused on agility, stability, traction and quick direction changes.

Suspension comes from fully adjustable OHRACING 35mm upside-down forks and an OHRACING rear shock, with adjustment for spring preload, compression and rebound. An optional Öhlins TTX rear shock and adjustable OHRACING steering damper are also available.

Brembo handles braking duties with twin 240mm front discs, GP4-Mini four-piston radial calliper’s and a Brembo 15 RCS radial master cylinder, while a 190mm rear disc uses a Brembo two-piston calliper.

Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres are fitted in 100/70 R15 front and 120/70 R15 rear sizes, with slick and rain versions available.

The racing specification continues with an Arrow twin-silencer exhaust system, with an Akrapovič system available as an option. The standard dashboard includes a lap timer, rev counter, hour meter, water-temperature display, dual-map and pit-limiter indications.

For riders wanting more advanced data, the optional AiM MXq dashboard adds GPS lap timing, CAN engine-data acquisition, an IMU and wireless data connectivity.

The result is a motorcycle designed to grow with its rider, providing a serious platform for learning, improving technique and pushing performance on track.

The Ohvale GP-5 is scheduled to be available from October 2026.
