MT Braker SV Brings Premium Safety Features to an Affordable Sport-Touring Helmet

Fresh out of the container, the MT Braker SV has arrived in South Africa as an affordable sport-touring full-face helmet that combines a strong safety specification with a comprehensive list of features, all while keeping the retail price below R2,100.

Designed for riders looking for versatility without spending a fortune, the Braker SV uses an HIRP, or High Impact Resistant Polymer, shell and is ECE 22.06 certified. Adding further confidence to its safety credentials, the helmet has achieved a five-star rating from SHARP, placing it among the highest-rated helmets tested by the independent safety organisation.

The Braker SV is equipped with a Pinlock-ready, anti-scratch outer visor featuring a quick-release mechanism, while an integrated retractable sun visor provides added convenience when riding in changing light conditions. Ventilation is handled through multiple intake vents positioned around the chin and upper sections of the helmet, working together with rear exhaust extractors to help maintain airflow. An aerodynamic rear spoiler is also incorporated into the design.

Comfort has not been overlooked, with the helmet featuring a removable, washable and hypoallergenic interior liner. The liner also includes speaker pockets, making the Braker SV compatible with universal Bluetooth intercom systems. A micrometric quick-release metal buckle provides a simple and secure retention system.

Depending on size, the Braker SV weighs approximately 1,600 grams, plus or minus 50 grams. The HIRP shell is available in multiple shell sizes to help provide a better fit across the size range.

With a retail price of less than R2,100, the MT Braker SV offers ECE 22.06 certification, a five-star SHARP safety rating, an internal sun visor, Pinlock-ready visor, integrated ventilation system and intercom compatibility at a price point aimed squarely at budget-conscious riders.
