Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Enter the V4 Era

A new chapter has officially begun for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP. In Jakarta, Yamaha unveiled its 2026 campaign, signalling a bold step forward with the introduction of the all-new V4-powered YZR-M1 and a refined evolution of its MotoGP identity.

The launch took place at Yamaha Motor Indonesia’s 3S Dealer Meeting, the largest Yamaha dealer gathering anywhere in the world, providing a fitting stage for such a significant moment. Surrounded by Yamaha leadership, key partners, media and fans, the reveal underlined just how important this transition is for the brand. Developing a V4 prototype while continuing to compete at the sharp end of MotoGP through the 2025 season has been a monumental undertaking, one that reflects unprecedented collaboration between Yamaha’s Japanese and Italian operations.

Visually, the M1 retains its now-familiar camouflage-inspired look for 2026, but with a sharper, more assertive presence thanks to increased blue and white detailing. The new season also marks the debut of DP World as Official Logistics Partner on the machine, while Monster Energy continues as title sponsor, extending a partnership that has become synonymous with Yamaha’s modern MotoGP era.

Factory riders Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins were on hand to unveil the new machines, both clearly energised by the direction Yamaha is taking. As preseason testing gets underway, attention now turns to refining performance, building consistency and fully unlocking the potential of the V4 package as the season approaches.

With a calendar set to feature up to 22 rounds and 44 races, the 2026 MotoGP season is shaping up to be one of the most demanding in recent memory. For Yamaha, it is also one of the most exciting, as the brand embraces a new technical philosophy and looks ahead to a fresh era of competition at the highest level.
The V4 era starts now. 🏁
