KTM has officially lifted the covers on its 2027 SX motocross line-up, introducing a refreshed visual identity while continuing to build on its long-standing reputation for race-winning performance. The latest generation SX range stays true to KTM’s “Ready to Race” philosophy, delivering machines engineered for riders at every level — from young beginners taking their first steps into motocross, to elite professionals competing at the highest level of the sport.

The 2027 KTM SX family remains one of the most comprehensive in motocross, featuring a nine-model line-up designed to support progression through every stage of a rider’s development. The range includes the KTM 50 SX, 65 SX and 85 SX for youth competitors, alongside the full-size machines: KTM 125 SX, 250 SX, 300 SX, 250 SX-F, 350 SX-F and 450 SX-F. This structured line-up ensures that riders can progress seamlessly through the ranks without leaving the KTM platform.

At the core of KTM’s approach is a consistent philosophy — provide a strong, race-proven base package that riders can adapt to their own style and ambition. That formula continues to prove itself globally, with KTM machinery playing a key role in top-level success across MXGP, MX2 and AMA SuperMotocross competition. Factory-backed riders such as Lucas and Sacha Coenen, MX2 World Champion Simon Längenfelder, as well as AMA stars including Eli Tomac and Jorge Prado, continue to rely on KTM SX platforms in their pursuit of victories.

For 2027, KTM introduces a subtle but impactful visual update. The brand’s iconic orange livery is now enhanced with refined red accents on the tank spoilers, giving the bikes a more aggressive and modern presence on track. In-mold graphics further improve durability, ensuring the machines maintain their factory-fresh appearance even under the demanding conditions of competitive motocross.

Beneath the updated styling, the 2027 SX range continues to evolve through continuous development driven by racing feedback. KTM’s hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded steel frame remains a key foundation, offering an optimised balance of rigidity, flex and stability. This chassis platform is paired with advanced engine technology across the range, including electronic fuel injection on both 2-stroke and 4-stroke models, delivering strong, usable power, competitive torque characteristics, and compliance with the latest FIM noise regulations.

Premium specification remains a defining feature of the SX line-up. Full-size models are equipped with WP XACT suspension systems, delivering precise handling and adjustability for a wide range of conditions. High-quality components such as Brembo braking systems and clutches, Pankl gearboxes, NEKEN handlebars, ODI lock-on grips, Excel rims with CNC-machined hubs, and Keihin throttle bodies continue to reinforce KTM’s factory-level performance straight from the crate.

A key highlight of the 2027 launch is KTM’s continued partnership with Dunlop, with the full-size SX models once again rolling out equipped with the industry benchmark Geomax MX34 tyres. From the moment the gate drops to the chequered flag, KTM continues to trust the MX34 for its proven balance of traction, feel and consistency — qualities that remain essential at every level of racing. The message is clear: the standard stays the standard.

The 2027 KTM SX range also continues to support diversity within motocross. The KTM 300 SX remains a standout in the line-up, preserving the raw, exhilarating character of a 2-stroke engine while benefiting from modern engineering to enhance rideability and performance.

The new KTM SX, SX-F and minicycle models are scheduled to arrive at authorised KTM dealers from the end of May 2026, with availability varying by region. In selected markets, the range will also be supported by KTM’s Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty for off-road models, offering 12 months of coverage provided servicing is carried out according to official guidelines.

With a combination of refined design, proven engineering and a race-bred development philosophy, the 2027 KTM SX range once again reinforces KTM’s position at the forefront of motocross performance — built to win, built to progress, and built to set the standard.
