KTM Maintain Strong MotoGP Presence With New Tech3 Agreement

KTM will continue to field four factory KTM RC16 machines in the MotoGP World Championship following a newly signed multi-year agreement and a renewed, streamlined partnership with the Tech3 team.
Since 2019, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Tech3 have worked together to form KTM’s full MotoGP effort, ensuring four RC16s consistently on the Grand Prix grid. This collaboration has played a key role in delivering race wins, podium finishes, and ongoing technical and rider development, strengthening KTM’s position in the premier class of motorcycle racing.

For 2026, Tech3 has entered a new era of ownership, but the objectives remain unchanged. The focus continues to be performance, visibility, and maximising impact in MotoGP, with full backing from KTM’s factory in Austria and the KTM Motorsport programme.
Tech3 CEO Guenther Steiner highlighted the importance of continuity as the sport moves into a new regulatory phase, explaining that the partnership is built on an already established foundation. He emphasised that this existing relationship provides a competitive advantage, allowing both sides to adapt quickly and remain competitive as new rules come into play, with a clear focus on building on what already works.

KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer also welcomed the continuation of the partnership, noting that Tech3’s new chapter aligns with the broader growth of MotoGP. He stated that both organisations have aligned their strategy and ambitions, and expressed excitement about continuing to push forward together. Beirer also thanked Steiner and the entire Tech3 organisation for their commitment and passion, describing it as a vital part of the group’s strength, while reinforcing KTM’s long-term vision to compete at the highest level heading into 2027 and beyond.
