KTM 1390 Super Adventure R Set for Public Debut at 2026 KTM Adventure Rally
After being spotted carving through the remote roads of the Karoo, the machine everyone has been talking about is finally ready to step into the spotlight. The all-new KTM 1390 Super Adventure R is on its way, and South African riders will get a chance to experience it in a way never done before.
Built to dominate the toughest terrain, push boundaries and redefine what’s possible in adventure riding, the latest addition to KTM’s hardcore off-road travel lineup promises to raise the bar for the big-bore adventure segment.
But the reveal comes with something even bigger.
For the first time ever, a brand-new KTM model will be launched directly to the public at the KTM Adventure Rally, giving riders the opportunity to be part of a historic moment for the brand in South Africa.
A First for KTM Adventure Rally
Riders attending the 2026 KTM Adventure Rally will not only be the first in the country to see the KTM 1390 Super Adventure R in person, but they will also be among the first to ride it on a dedicated route designed specifically for the event.
It’s a rare opportunity for adventure riders to experience a brand-new machine where it belongs most — out on the dirt, tackling real terrain rather than sitting under showroom lights.
Three Days of Adventure in the Drakensberg
KTM South Africa has officially opened bookings for the 2026 KTM Adventure Rally, which will take place at the breathtaking Champagne Sports Resort in the majestic Drakensberg mountains.
The rally runs over three days, from 30 April to 3 May 2026, bringing together adventure riders from across the country for an unforgettable riding experience through some of South Africa’s most spectacular landscapes.
For 2026, the event introduces a brand-new riding format. Instead of multiple separate routes, riders will follow a single main route each day, complemented by optional technical breakaway loops. This allows participants to tailor each day’s ride to their skill level and appetite for adventure.
Whether riders want to enjoy a scenic adventure ride or tackle more demanding terrain, the format ensures everyone can find their rhythm on the trail.
Each day promises incredible riding through some of the most breathtaking scenery and countryside South Africa has to offer, making the rally as much about the journey as it is about the destination.

Participants should note that only packaged tickets are available, meaning there are no ride-only tickets for the event.
Pricing and Bookings
Pricing for the 2026 KTM Adventure Rally ranges from:
- R11,000 per person (sharing – double room)
- R14,000 per person (single room)
All prices include VAT.
Entries are limited and demand is expected to be high, particularly with the public launch of the KTM 1390 Super Adventure R forming part of the event.
