Fuelling the Future of South African Motocross: Tork Craft Husqvarna MX Team Launches for 2026

As the 2026 motocross season gets underway, a powerhouse collaboration is set to drive the next generation of South African racing talent. The Ride Train Race (RTR) Academy, long partnered with Motul, has teamed up with Tork Craft and Husqvarna South Africa to officially launch the Tork Craft Husqvarna Motocross Team.
The initiative brings together South Africa’s brightest young riders under one banner, building on Motul’s ongoing commitment to nurturing future champions. Selection for the team was purely merit-based, recognising standout performances from last season. The 2026 roster combines proven track records with emerging talent poised to make a mark on the national stage.
2026 Lineup

Rayden Woolls, 12 (85cc) – The 2025 “Triple Threat.” Woolls enters the 2026 season as the reigning 65cc African, National, and Regional Champion and takes the highly anticipated step up to the 85cc class.

Mackenzie Bam, 16 (Ladies Class) – A true revelation. In only her first year of competitive motocross, Bam clinched 2nd place in both the National and Regional Ladies Championships.

Kabelo Ledwaba, 14 (125cc) – Resilience personified. After leading the 85cc National standings in 2025, global logistics halted his return from the Junior World Championships in Dubai. Now in the 125cc class, Kabelo is a strong podium contender.
For Motul, supporting the Tork Craft Husqvarna Team is part of a long-standing commitment to youth development and grassroots motorsport in Southern Africa. “The youth are the lifeblood of motocross,” says Mercia Jansen, Managing Director of Motul South Africa. “Through our partnership with RTR, we are not just supporting a race season—we are investing in the next generation of champions.”

At the heart of this programme is the RTR Academy, led by Tony Riddell, multi-time National Champion and international MX veteran, and Ryan Hunt, multiple SA National Champion and Grand Prix competitor. Together, they provide young athletes with expert coaching, preparing them physically, mentally, and technically for the sport’s highest levels.

“Working with these young riders is about more than race results,” says Riddell. “We’re building complete riders, and this partnership allows us to do it on a bigger stage.” Hunt adds, “Tork Craft’s title sponsorship ensures our riders have the tools and support to match their ambition and helps grow South African motorsport.”

A Collective Force
This partnership forms a complete performance ecosystem: RTR develops the talent, Motul powers the bikes, Tork Craft provides essential tools, and Husqvarna delivers world-class machinery. “By teaming up with Tork Craft, Motul, and RTR, we give these talented athletes the ultimate platform to chase their dreams at full throttle,” says Megan Prinsloo, Marketing Manager of Husqvarna SA.
This collaboration represents a long-term investment in the growth of South African motocross, creating a strong development pathway that ensures the sport remains competitive for years to come.
