Darryn Binder Steps Up to MotoAmerica Superbikes With Warhorse HSBK Ducati in 2027

South African rider Darryn Binder is heading to the premier class of MotoAmerica in 2027 after a championship-winning rookie season in the United States. The former MotoGP rider will join Warhorse HSBK Ducati in the Quad Lock MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, partnering six-time Superbike champion Cameron Beaubier.

Binder’s first season in MotoAmerica has already delivered an impressive championship, with the South African making an immediate impact in the Supersport category aboard the Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse Ducati Panigale V2.
After spending 13 years in the Grand Prix paddock, Binder arrived in the United States with plenty of international racing experience. He quickly established himself as a front-running contender, building a successful campaign that culminated in the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship.
Riding the #53 Ducati Panigale V2, Binder secured 11 race victories and 15 podium finishes during his rookie season, establishing himself as one of the standout performers in the category.

A Championship-Winning Rookie Season
Binder’s championship campaign featured a series of strong performances, including important results at Mid-Ohio and Virginia, where his victories helped propel him into the championship lead.
His season reached its defining moment at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), where he delivered a double victory in Texas. Winning Race 1 and following it up with a commanding flag-to-flag victory in Race 2, Binder secured the championship mathematically with one round remaining.

The South African subsequently brought his title-winning campaign to a close at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where he claimed his 11th victory of the season in a rain-soaked Race 2. In challenging wet conditions, Binder held off Josh Herrin in a close battle to the finish line.
His final championship tally was reported at more than 343 points, reflecting a season built around race wins, podium finishes and consistent front-running performances.

Step Up to the Superbike Class in 2027
Binder’s promotion to the premier class was first revealed in a Facebook video from Warhorse HSBK Ducati’s 2026 season-ending dinner. Since then the news has been confirmed by Warhorse HSBK Ducati.

For 2027, Binder will join Cameron Beaubier, who brings considerable experience and an established record of success in the Superbike category.
Beaubier joined Warhorse HSBK Ducati in 2026 after winning the 2025 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. However, his campaign was interrupted by a shoulder injury sustained at Road America, forcing him to miss several rounds.
He returned at COTA and immediately demonstrated his competitiveness, winning the opening Superbike race of the weekend and putting the Ducati back in victory lane.
The pairing brings together Beaubier’s six championship titles and extensive premier-class experience with Binder’s international background and the confidence of a championship-winning debut season in the United States.
For Binder, the move represents another significant milestone in his career. Having successfully adapted to a new championship and secured the Supersport title in his first year, he now faces the challenge of competing against the established names in American Superbike racing.

With Warhorse HSBK Ducati bringing the two riders together for 2027, all eyes will be on how Binder adapts to the demands of the premier class and how the team’s new pairing performs throughout the season.
