Darryn Binder Begins New Chapter with Celtic / Economy Lube & Tire by Warhorse HSBK Ducati in 2026

It was announced some time ago that Darryn Binder would depart the Grand Prix paddock at the end of the 2025 season, closing the door on his latest spell in world championship competition. After competing in MotoGP and Moto2 — including his rare and bold direct step from Moto3 to the premier class earlier in his career — the South African now shifts his focus to a fresh challenge in the United States.

Binder recently confirmed that he has officially joined Celtic / Economy Lube & Tire by Warhorse HSBK Ducati for the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport season. The move places him in the MotoAmerica paddock with a wealth of international experience, bringing proven speed, race craft and top-level knowledge to an already ambitious Supersport programme.

For 2026, Binder will campaign the Ducati Panigale V2 as part of a strong two-rider effort led by Barry Gilsenan. The team returns with clear intentions, pairing Binder alongside Wristin Grigg as they set their sights on race wins, podium finishes and a genuine championship challenge in what is expected to be a highly competitive field.
Preparation has already been in full swing. Binder and the team have been working extensively to test and refine their package ahead of the new season. As part of that build-up, Binder has officially entered this coming weekend’s legendary Daytona 200, taking place from March 5–7, 2026. With 49 entries confirmed in the Supersport category, the grid is stacked, and the iconic high banks of Daytona will provide the ideal environment for Binder to gain valuable seat time.

The Daytona 200 offers more than just prestige. It gives Binder the opportunity to further adapt to the Ducati Panigale V2, continue development work and build momentum heading into his full 2026 MotoAmerica campaign.
A new paddock, a new championship pursuit, and Daytona up next as Darryn Binder begins the next phase of his racing career.
