Confirmed!!! Toprak to stay in World SBK for 2023, maybe even 2024.
After being told there is no seat available for him in 2023 MotoGP, both Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and his manager Kenan Sofuoğlu confirmed that they will be in World SBK for 2023. Kenan saying he is happy with this so Toprak can focus on winning races and the title now. He also said Toprak has a 2 year deal in World SBK, and Yamaha had the option to move him to MotoGP if they wanted but now with now seat this is not possible anymore. Kenan wants Toprak to win this season and the 2023 season before thinking about a move to MotoGP. Toprak said at Misano this weekend that he is happy in World SBK and will want to win as many titles as possible and become a World SBK legend. From the start, both he and Kenan said they will only consider a move to MotoGP with a factory ride. Not many of those going around these days now that Suzuki has pulled out so only time will tell if we ever get to see the all-action style of Toprak in MotoGP. For now, it’s still a pleasure watching him in World SBK battalions against Rea and Bautista.
