2027 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Unveiled with MotoGP and Superbike-Inspired Livery

By MRWadmin

Ducati has unveiled a striking new livery for the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, drawing inspiration from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R raced by its factory teams in the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships. Revealed during the Italian manufacturer’s Centenary year, the new design reinforces the sporting character of Ducati’s flagship performance crossover, combining racing-inspired styling with the versatility and comfort required for long-distance touring.

Created by Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance, the exclusive Pikes Peak livery brings together distinctive colours, graphics and surface treatments inspired by Ducati’s official competition machines. The result is a contemporary, dynamic design that emphasises the motorcycle’s racing heritage and distinctive presence.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak has always occupied a special position in the Multistrada family. Developed for riders who prioritise sporty performance, it combines the character of a Ducati Superbike with the versatility of a crossover motorcycle. Its 17-inch wheels, single-sided swingarm, long-travel sports suspension and protective bodywork are complemented by an ergonomic riding position and the practicality of touring luggage.

The new livery further strengthens its connection to Ducati Corse, while an extensive selection of premium components underlines its performance-focused specification. Carbon-fibre bodywork, a road-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer, a low smoked windscreen and gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders distinguish the Pikes Peak visually. Additional details include a seat featuring the V4 logo and a Ducati Corse badge on the front beak.
Through the Ducati Factory Made programme, customers can personalise their Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with a selection of factory-approved options, allowing them to tailor the motorcycle without relying on aftermarket modifications. Available choices include red forged wheels, red or black brake calipers, seats in different heights, additional carbon-fibre components, auxiliary lighting and a complete luggage package comprising side panniers and a top case.
Sporting DNA and performance.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is designed for riders who want to explore the more dynamic side of the Multistrada experience. Its combination of lightweight forged wheels, sports-oriented chassis geometry and powerful V4 engine is intended to deliver precision and responsiveness on winding mountain roads while retaining the comfort and practicality expected of a touring motorcycle.
At the heart of the chassis is a 17-inch front wheel, supported by five-spoke forged aluminium wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres measuring 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear. This configuration is designed to provide precise steering and predictable handling, particularly during spirited riding.

Suspension duties are handled by Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic suspension, featuring event-based logic similar to the systems used on the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S. The suspension automatically adapts its settings according to the motorcycle’s riding conditions and the phase of riding, balancing sporty support with comfort when travelling longer distances. Both the front and rear offer 170 mm of wheel travel.
Braking performance is managed by a Bosch-Brembo ABS 10.3ME Cornering system, with dual 330 mm front discs and Brembo Stylema radial calipers, complemented by a 280 mm rear disc.

The Electronic Combined Braking System also introduces a front-to-rear braking strategy, activating the rear brake when the rider operates only the front brake control.

Power comes from Ducati’s 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, producing 170 CV (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 123.8 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. Its particularly linear torque delivery is designed to provide smooth, progressive acceleration across the rev range, making the engine suitable for both demanding sporty riding and everyday touring.
The engine’s counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from Ducati Corse’s MotoGP experience, works against the gyroscopic inertia generated by the wheels. This contributes to the motorcycle’s handling characteristics and supports its sporting intentions.

The dedicated Race Riding Mode further differentiates the Pikes Peak from the standard Multistrada V4. Its racing-inspired rev-limiter strategy intervenes more progressively, alerting the rider earlier and allowing more effective gear changes at high engine speeds. The Ducati Quick Shift system also receives dedicated calibration for aggressive downshifting, while High Power Mode delivers a more direct throttle response.
Ergonomics designed for sporty riding.

Ducati has developed a specific riding position for the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak to improve rider control and accommodate greater lean angles. Compared with the standard Multistrada V4, the footpegs are positioned higher and further back, allowing increased ground clearance and making it easier for the rider to move around the motorcycle when riding enthusiastically.

The handlebar is also lower, narrower and flatter, encouraging a more committed riding position and providing a more direct connection between the rider and the front end. Despite its sporting focus, the ergonomics have been developed to retain a good level of comfort, ensuring the Pikes Peak remains suitable for longer journeys.
Advanced safety and technology.

The 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak retains the sophisticated electronic package of the Multistrada V4 S, incorporating an extensive range of rider assistance and vehicle management systems.
Front and rear radar technology is standard, supporting Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection. The package also introduces Forward Collision Warning, adding another layer of assistance when riding in traffic and on longer journeys.

The motorcycle’s electronic equipment includes a Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, Ducati Vehicle Observer, Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control and Engine Brake Control. Riders can select from five Riding Modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet, alongside four Power Modes to adapt engine delivery to different riding conditions.

Additional equipment includes a full-LED headlight with daytime running lights and Ducati Cornering Lights, a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT dashboard, Hands-Free ignition, Vehicle Hold Control, Ducati Brake Light EVO and Ducati Connect smartphone integration for phone, music and map navigation. Cruise Control and the up-and-down Ducati Quick Shift system complete the package.
Touring capability and ownership
Although the Pikes Peak is developed around sporty performance, Ducati has retained the long-distance capability that defines the Multistrada family. Its engine offers extended maintenance intervals, with valve-clearance inspections scheduled every 60,000 km, while Extended Cylinder Deactivation contributes to its engine management strategy.

The motorcycle is also covered by Ducati’s 4EVER Ducati programme, which provides a four-year warranty with unlimited mileage, subject to the programme’s terms and conditions. Ducati Roadside Assistance is available across the Multistrada V4 range, providing support that includes roadside assistance, transportation for the rider and passenger, a replacement vehicle and accommodation in a four-star hotel when required during the coverage period.
Ducati’s international dealer network, comprising more than 800 official dealerships across over 90 countries, provides additional support for owners travelling locally and abroad.

The 2027 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is already available at European Ducati dealerships and can be configured through the manufacturer’s official website. With its new factory-racing-inspired livery, extensive premium equipment and factory personalisation options, the latest Pikes Peak continues to combine the performance-focused character of a sports motorcycle with the versatility of a long-distance adventure tourer.
